• Alexander as an acquaintance is well kept and well dressed, his manner likewise. Consistently polite, he may even come off as warm; while he doesn't seem to flourish in social environments, he navigates them well, if with clinical professionalism. He has a couple degrees - bachelors in education, masters in psychology, considering a doctorate - generally known by reputation, but rarely a conversation topic. With strangers, he seems to listen more than talk, but that's usually to humor them until they shut up. All of this lets up after a few drinks.
• Alexander comes from a long, seemingly clean-cut line of dirty money. He has no qualms with this but keeps it appropriately private. A harshly conservative upbringing ingrained him with a lot of ideas he finds it easier to uphold than resist, and some amount of trauma he finds it easier to ignore than acknowledge. He has five siblings, the youngest adoptive, with Alexander eldest and four sisters in between.
  Affectionately, he's sometimes referred to "Alex" or "Al," but "Alexander" is standard.
  The force of his personality can make those around him fall in step with his ideal scheme of events, covertly or otherwise. Such strict standards apply to everything in his life, including his family and himself, and he frequently needs some shallow hedonism to take his mind off it all, the mounting stress and tension. No such indulgence is harmless, but some are worse than others.
  Public romantic relationships are few and far between; clandestine affairs of all kinds are much more common.
  
  The world around him pulses with magic just beneath the surface, and while he's brushed close with the supernatural many times in his life, he refuses to acknowledge its existence.
